Studio Kids Session in Provo, Utah | The Taylor Boys

This studio kids session in Provo, Utah with the Taylor boys was equal parts wild, real, and so full of personality. Graham (4) and twin brothers Miles and Harvey (2) brought all the energy — and honestly, that’s exactly what made this session so special.

Favorite Outfits + A Clean Studio Look

Mom, Jess, did such a great job choosing outfits for the boys. She dressed them in their favorite clothes, which included t-shirts and overalls, and it was the perfect choice. When kids feel comfortable in what they’re wearing, it shows in the photos.

We used a classic white studio backdrop, which I love for kids sessions because it keeps everything clean and distraction-free. With no extra noise in the background, the focus stays exactly where it should — on their faces, expressions, and personalities.

Wild Energy, Big Emotions, and Real Life

These boys were full of energy from the moment they walked in. They were silly, expressive, and gave me so many different faces and emotions. And yes — we even captured a few meltdown moments.

Because real life matters.

My job isn’t to only photograph smiles. It’s to document who your kids truly are in this season. The big feelings, the wild energy, the chaos — it’s all part of their story, and one day these photos will mean everything.

When Parents Are Nervous (and Why They Don’t Need to Be)

Jess was understandably stressed that her wild crew might be too hard to photograph. I hear this from parents all the time — especially those with toddlers or multiple young kids.

But here’s the thing: I’ve yet to meet a kid I couldn’t crack.

We kept things moving quickly, played games, and leaned into who the boys naturally are instead of trying to force anything. The result? A full gallery that showcases each child’s unique personality — from Graham’s big brother confidence to the twins’ playful chaos.

A Few Motherhood Moments

One of my favorite parts of this session was having Jess jump in for a few motherhood photos. Moms are so often the ones behind the camera, and it was beautiful to see the boys interact with their mom — climbing on her, hugging her, and just being their wild little selves.

These are the photos that matter. The ones that show connection, love, and what this season of motherhood really feels like.

Why Studio Kids Sessions Work So Well

Studio kids sessions are quick, simple, and incredibly effective. There’s no pressure, no distractions, and no expectations for “perfect” behavior. Just space for kids to be themselves.

And those are always the photos you end up loving the most.
